Tony Oliver grew up in a small town in southern Minnesota, surrounded by large maple trees and Lego's.  I spent my free time dismantling any electronic device I could get my hands on and in our garage at my dads workbench, learning how to use what I had available, to tinker and explore new materials.

I studied Interior Architecture and Fine Art at Iowa State University, graduating in 2007.

With a background in art, interior design, and television production, I founded the studio to satisfy his never ending desire to design and build the world around him.

Olivr Studio brings a unique perspective to the design-build world. With core competencies in both wood and metal, we're able to bring almost any vision to life.

Not shying away from highly detailed projects that stretch our fabrication abilities, we welcome new ideas and challenges.

We occupy a small space in the market…. between large mass production furniture shops, commercial millwork shops, and high-end custom furniture makers.

Preferring to keep our business operations lean, which allows us to control the whole process start to finish, and give attention to even the most pedestrian details. After all…. God is in the details. (and so is the devil)

We utilize solid North American hardwoods and traditional furniture making techniques, combined with 21st century technologies and finishes to provide our clients with the highest quality products available today.

Stewardship

We strongly believe in the responsible use of natural materials. All of our pieces are made to-order in our own workshop. We work closely with local and regional suppliers to reduce our environmental impact. We strive to be as efficient as possible with the materials we do have, and those that cannot be repurposed are recycled or donated.
